Volunteer Opportunities:
-
Club Red - Club Red is a volunteer group for young professionals in their 20s and 30s. The group participates in fundraisers, special events, and social activities and provides a way for people in this age group to volunteer in a social setting.
Interested in volunteering?
All volunteers begin by attending a New Volunteer Orientation. At your Orientation, you’ll learn more about the American Red Cross and about all of our local volunteer opportunities in Arlington. To see a list of upcoming Orientations, see our homepage. To sign up, select the date that works best for you and click the red “I want to help!” button.
All Orientations are held at the Arlington County Chapter at 4333 Arlington Blvd, Arlington, VA 22203.
Background Checks:
Beginning in July of 2006, the American Red Cross began requiring ALL volunteers age 18 and over to successfully complete a background check. You’ll be given more information about this at the Orientation, but if you have questions, please contact Heather Pritchett at 703-527-3010 x735.
Community Service:
We welcome individuals who are required to fulfill community service hours. However, we inform all volunteers that our programs are primarily set up for long-term volunteering. In all probability, those who have a short timeline for completing volunteer hours will not find our Chapter to be the best choice. Just like all other volunteers, community service volunteers start by attending a New Volunteer Orientation and those ages 18 and over must complete a background check.
