Training Health Tip

Limit sugary drinks - There is considerable evidence showing that many of us consume a large number of calories through the tasty sports beverages that we consume. Sweeteners added to beverages, including sport beverages and juice drinks, are particularly troubling, because people think those drinks are healthful. Unfortunately, they are a way to pack in extra calories in a mindless fashion.
Watch those calories! Consider drinking plain water to rehydrate or cut the sport drink into two portions and make it equal parts sport drink and water. Save the other half of the drink for another day.
All funds raised from the March Mania Tournament are used to respond to natural disasters, house fires, to educate citizens on everything from CPR to child care, and to get emergency messages to loved ones on military duty. The Red Cross also provides nearly half of the nation's blood supply.
