The Arlington Red Cross in committed to ensuring the safety of our community.
Through the Community Disaster Education (CDE) initiative, we hope to reach every individual, family, business and school in the community and empower them with the skills and knowledge they need to keep safe and be ready to respond to any type of emergency.
Accordingly, we would like to offer our services to you. We are in the process of training a corps of Red Cross Arlington Community Educators, or ACEs. Our ACEs are trained Red Cross volunteers who will attend community events or meetings with the purpose of teaching the American Red Cross Three Steps to Disaster Preparedness. ACEs will be available to give presentations, facilitate discussions, or staff informational tables.
All of our Community Disaster Education presentations and materials are provided free of charge to all those who live and work in Arlington County.
Each topic can be coupled with a Health and Safety presentation. We can tailor our program to meet your needs; each segment is available to run from a 10 minute introduction to an hour-long workshop.
