Last year , we hosted our first annual Youth Disaster College, July 9 – 13, 2007. Rising 9th through 12th graders were trained in Red Cross Disaster Services, including how to set up and run a Red Cross shelter, and had the opportunity to participate in a shelter and feeding simulation exercise, as well as receive Adult CPR/First Aid certification.
